GONG! Open Beta Launch at the Toy Convention 2008...

The Toy Convention for this year came around, and my company has reserved space for a booth to this 2-day convention. I missed the last 2-3 events where we had a booth, and I seriously regretted not attending. I wasn't gonna miss this event as well.

Our booth was focused on promoting my company's new online game called GONG!. Check out the video below for a sneak peek of what the game is all about.

The 2-day convention was filled with a lot of visually pleasing color and festiveness. So I picked up some notable pictures from that weekend to give you a glimpse of how much of a kid I felt when I was there. Picture credit goes to a number of officemates and myself.

First, let's start with the TOYS...

I made all the toy-related pictures small because this is getting to be a very long-ass post. Now we move on to the people at the convention, with emphasis on all the cosplayers during that weekend.

It was something about the dude's mustache that bothered me about his overall look. LOL!...

I never knew Soundwave can get any boxier.

Darkstalkers...

Iron Men... I personally loved the Iron Man costume on the left...

There were quite a number of Tifa's at the convention. But the one above is my favorite...

It was the wings that caught my attention. LOL!...

I was seriously trying not to be a perv while taking the picture above....

Uruhara, Ulquiorra, and Ichigo...

It was nice to see all these kids try our game. Go GONG!...

I liked Renji's Bankai Skull Snake Head on the bottom right corner...

I didn't know the Bio-Robot (Bio-Man) would fit in a mall. LOL!

Female Predator, way cool...

Carrot Girl...

Fuseboxx played on the 1st day of the convention. They're Dream Theater rip offs, but they do it so well. Love their stuff...

Youngen Predator...

Me with a Tie Fighter Pilot. And the obvious attempt to promote GONG!...

This Alien seems a little chunkier than usual. LOL!...

Bruce?...

Hank Sparrow's better half...

Cosplay Queen, Alodia...

The Force is nowhere to be found in the picture above...

Hank Sparrow, Mr. BigSkyMind has finally gone off the deep end. Or as Hank would say, has finally seen the light...

Power Rangers? Bio-Man?

Storm Troopers...

Wonder Gil and Wonder Woman...

Although I was feeling a little bad because of some mishaps at work, attending the 2 day Toy Convention was worth it. It gave my brain a rest and allowed me to just stare at everything that was there.

Helping out with our booth's crew was satisfying as well; from lending them my 8-port switch, to slipping CD installers in jackets for give-aways.

Just to get certain friends off my back (and these friends are girls, mind you), no, I did not get any of the pretty cosplayers' cell numbers. Baby steps remember? At least I can approach these girls and ask them if I can take a picture. And the occassional "What's your name" inquiry comes out of my mouth every so often. So please allow me to enjoy my meager cheap thrills, mah friends. It pays to be shallow at times. LOL!

END OF LINE...

Actually, you came up to me in Faura and asked me if I were who you thought I was. :p But we were both with friends and you were a bit in a hurry so we didn't get to talk much.
